Featured Bike – Raider

Raider“ was built by Hardcore Choppers of Sterling, VA for Jey P, of Port Tobacco, MD. Jey is a member of the prestigious Fairfax County Swat Team of Fairfax, Virginia. To his surprise, his incredible wife by the name of Christa was the one to commission Hardcore Choppers to build Jey the chopper of his dreams for his 40th birthday surprise party. The biggest challenge for Christa would be of keeping Jey from learning the life changing surprise that was in store for him. Christa spent many months trying to figure out on what type of chopper Jey imagined of owning one day. Christa learned that Jey’s dream was to own a chopper that resembled the colors and bravado his favorite football team……..The Oakland Raiders

The chopper is a 4 up, 6 back, Right side drive softail “Lifer” model. It’s powered by a 100 cubic inch, 110 horsepower all polished and chrome motor that carries a 3 year industry leading warranty. The transmission is a hydraulic 6 speed unit. The primary is a 2 inch open belt drive with a hydraulic clutch for the extra horsepower. Final drive a 530 o-ring sealed chain.

The chopper rides on a huge 300 millimeter rear tire and a beefy 120 millimeter front tire. The front end is an all chrome Springer unit made by American Suspension. The rear brake is a rotor caliper system made by Hardcore Choppers. Both the hand controls and the forward controls are all chrome to match the rest of the bike. All of the sheet metal work such as the gas tank and fenders were specially fabricated to follow the lines of the chopper. If you look closely, you can see the crown gas cap that sets the standard for the chopper. The paint work is done in-house in a midnight black base coat/clear coat paint system with awesome silver flames accented by white pin stripping just like the Oakland Raider’s colors. The beautiful seat is American cowhide skin made by the motorcycle seat King himself….Mr. Johnnie Longo. The billet wheels are made by Hardcore Chopper and finished in a lustrous triple chrome finish. You will also notice the Spiked air filter matches the tips on the foot controls and hand grips. Last but not least is the “daisy cutters” exhaust made by Martin Bros that gives the motor that legendary V-Twin sound.
